{"id":55,"date":"2021-10-19T18:44:59","date_gmt":"2021-10-19T18:44:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.edanya.uma.es\/hyp2022\/?page_id=55"},"modified":"2021-11-25T15:55:16","modified_gmt":"2021-11-25T15:55:16","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"","title":{"rendered":"Home"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The objective of the International Conferences on Hyperbolic Problems is to bring together scientists with interests in the theoretical, applied, and computational aspects of hyperbolic partial differential equations (systems of hyperbolic conservation laws, wave equations, etc.) and of related mathematical models (PDEs of mixed type, kinetic equations, nonlocal or\/and discrete models, etc.). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference was first held in 1986 in St. Etienne (France) and has been organized since then biennially at different locations. The last few meetings were held at: 2018 Penn State (U.S.A.), 2016 Aachen (Germany), 2014 Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), 2012 Padua (Italy), 2010 Beijing (China), 2008 College Park (U.S.A.), 2006 Lyon (France).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The XVIII International Conference on Hyperbolic Problems: Theory, Numerics and Applications was initially scheduled in June 22-26, 2020 in M\u00e1laga (Spain). The situation due to the Covid19 pandemic led the Organizing and Scientific Committees of HYP2020 to postpone the Conference and to organize:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>An <strong>online HYP2020\/21<\/strong> day that took place in <strong>July 2, 2021<\/strong>. This event included the talks by the first James Glimm Lecturer, Constantine Dafermos (Brown University), and the first Peter Lax Awardee, Jacob Bedrossian (University of Maryland). The program was completed with two talks given by Min Tang (Shanghai Jiaotong University) and Manuel J. Castro (University of M\u00e1laga). The four registered talks are available in this web site for pre-registered participants.<\/li><li><strong>HYP2022<\/strong> an in person conference to be held in<strong> M\u00e1laga <\/strong>in <strong>June 20-24, 2022<\/strong>. The conference will include the talks of the second James Glimm Lecturer and Peter Lax Awardee as well as most of the HYP2020 invited speakers.
