The GTM is presently a self-convened group of tsunami scientists affiliated to research, academic and private organizations around the world to focus efforts and provide coordinate action for tsunami hazard and risk assessment.
Participant organizations are working together toward a science-based understanding of tsunami hazard and risk and the development of standards and methods accepted by the tsunami community. Several other individuals and organizations are presently collaborating to GTM activities.
