

A strong earthquake (Mw=6.6) of normal faulting striking about E-W occurred on July 20, 2017 (22:31 UTC) between Bodrum town (Turkey) and Kos island (Greece). The earthquake caused a tsunami which affected the coast of Bodrum peninsula and the northeast coast of Kos island. The tsunami was recorded by a tide gauge, located in Bodrum, close to the earthquake epicenter.
